GoSign 4 – Product Update Overview

GoSign 4 is a major upgrade to the GoSign 3 software platform.

This new version will exclusively support the following Summa devices:

• S Class 3 (firmware version MD9987 – rev 22 or higher)

• S One Series (firmware version MD9986 - rev 20.4 or higher)

In addition, GoSign 4 is a 64-bit application that requires Windows 10 or higher, with Windows 11 strongly recommended for optimal performance.

Why GoSign 4 Supports Only the current Summa Products

Limiting GoSign 4 compatibility to the newest Summa cutting systems allows our software development team to:

• Work with greater flexibility when designing new features

• Avoid constraints caused by legacy hardware

• Simplify testing processes

• Reduce release cycles and deliver updates more efficiently

This ensures that GoSign 4 continues to evolve with the latest Summa technologies.

GoSign 3 – Transition to Maintenance Mode

GoSign 3 has now entered a freeze status, meaning:

• No new software features will be developed

• Full support for existing GoSign 3 functionality will continue

• The final released version of GoSign 3 is: 3.3.1

This freeze ensures the stability of GoSign 3 and prevents conflicts with new features intended for S Class 3 and S One devices.

GoSign 3 will remain available on our website for the following legacy cutters:

• SummaCut R(L) (firmware rev039 or higher)

• S Class 2 (firmware rev024 or higher)

Although GoSign 3 will still function with S Class 3 and S One units, we strongly recommend upgrading to GoSign 4 to ensure ongoing compatibility as new firmware updates are released for these devices.

ProPack activation key - Compatibility

The GoSign ProPack license key remains fully compatible with GoSign 4.

No changes are required on the user's side.

Summa GoSign - Version 2.0

Released: October 26, 2020

Summa GoSign is a new software within the GoSuite platform and replaces former Summa Winplot to enhance the cutting process/workflow. It drives the S2 Class and Summacut and is an interface between design applications (such as Corel and illustrator) and the roll cutters. The main purpose of the application is to import designs and send them to the cutters (bridge application).

Recommended Firmware:

• S2 Class: rev024

• Summacut: rev037

There is a free 30-day trial available for the GoSign Pro Pack upon registration during the setup.

Please note that GoSign standard edition is not able to import the file types below. These files types are only supported by the GoSign Pro Pack edition.
