Summa nv, a leading supplier of high-end cutting, finishing and laser solutions, will be showcasing their proven range at Booth D71 in Hall 4 during TexProcess. The show takes place from the 14th until the 17th of May 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Over the years, Summa has significantly expanded its product range of finishing and cutting technologies, resulting in the comprehensive range of solutions Summa has to offer today. In each of these solutions, the philosophy of Summa emerges: offering reliable cutting quality without compromises. With this mindset, Summa released a completely new product series with laser cutting technology, presented as the L Series. This is the third product series of Summa, going alongside its well-known vinyl cutters (S Class 2 & SummaCut Series) and flatbed finishing systems (F Series).
With the new L Series, Summa takes another step forward into the soft signage and textile market, putting this into practice by its first attendance to the TexProcess show.
At booth D71 in Hall 4, Summa will demonstrate two laser systems, with the L1810 laser cutter in particular. Also, the F1832, part of Summa’s renowned flatbed finishing series, will be present at Summa’s booth. All machines will be running continuously to show the exceptional quality, smart processing and unsurpassed accuracy Summa products deliver when handling the widest gamut of substrates.
Processing textiles for sportswear with unsurpassed quality
The L1810 uses a non-contact method of cutting for high precision and thus meets the requirements to process sensitive and easily distorted textiles, specific to sportswear. Benefits of the L1810 include perfectly sealed edges, material optimization, a safe and clean work environment and full automation with the optional Vision technology. This advanced Vision technology contributes to the ease of use and enhanced productivity, by quickly scanning the material and automatically creating cutting vectors without the need of a cutting file.
Besides processing of textiles, the L1810 laser system is also perfectly suited to process all sorts of raw materials, used in the composite industry, such as carbon fibres, composites, thermoset and thermoplastics. Always with the highest level of cutting quality Summa is known for.
Cutting versatility on an endless number of substrates
To highlight versatility in handling all kinds of substrates, Summa will also be giving demonstrations on their F1832 flatbed model, which is based on the proven technology of Summa’s F Series flatbed systems. Thanks to its working area of 184 cm, the F1832 is able to cut popular sizes of roll material, rigid board material and textiles.
The F Series is supported by Summa’s newly, in-house developed software, GoProduce. Summa GoProduce is designed to facilitate the operator’s work on the F Series and secure optimum rentability. One of its main benefits is the tailorable material database, which is able to automatically select the tool and settings, based on the material the operator chooses to cut. By default, the material database includes a gamut of materials, tools and functions, which in addition, can be adjusted to the user’s needs at any given time.
At the show, Summa will be demonstrating its laser cutting technology for sportswear on the L1810 Vision, as well as demonstrating finishing solutions on the F1832. Request your free entry ticket to TexProcess 2019 via [email protected].
