Summa partner Papyrus now official reseller of Valiani

Summa Press Release
For immediate release 24/11/2022

Summa is pleased to announce that its partner Papyrus Viscom in The Benelux, has been appointed an official reseller of Valiani. Papyrus is a leading provider of paper and supply solutions to the printing industry and a major distributor of office paper in Europe, their Viscom business unit offers total solutions for the large format print & sign market. The existing partnership as a distributor of Summa's Roll cutters and F Series has now been broadened with the product range from Valiani. A first Valiani machine, the Omnia 100 is installed in their demo center in Mechelen, the Papyrus team has been trained by Valiani.

The cutters from Valiani are complementary to the cutting solutions from Summa. While the F1612 flatbed cutter has a small footprint, some customers need smaller, more affordable solutions. That's where Valiani's cutting solutions come in. Moreover, their experience and focus on the packaging market is a valuable addition.

The recent Omnia auto feed die cutting machine is a unique automated solution for the corrugated and folding carton market, available in two sizes. The applications of this cutter fit well with Papyrus' target audience. Enthusiastic after a smooth installation and training, Papyrus Viscom is now fully equipped to demonstrate the machine to their customers.

David Goris, Business Unit Manager Papyrus Viscom: “The Valiani range is a perfect addition to our existing Summa F Series range. On the one hand we can now offer a quality solution for the price-conscious customer who needs a level-entry flatbed cutter and on the other hand the Omnia range with its automatic feeder offers a solution for our customers who are looking for a high-end productive solution.

With the Omnia series we also have the ideal product to bridge the gap to the graphics market in which Papyrus plays a leading role. The fact that Valiani has joined the Summa family, with whom we already had a successful partnership, made this decision nothing less than obvious for us.”

Valiani joined the Summa group in June this year. The authorisation of Papyrus is part of the steps Summa is taking to introduce Valiani on a global scale. In October, Valiani was officially launched to the Summa dealers in America and another launch event is currently taking place in Asia.

Heidi Hoornaert, Summa Area Sales Manager: “The Valiani team was on site and undertook the complete installation and training. It is interesting to see how the Omnia cuts and creases sheet after sheet automatically. I can see it being a very efficient solution for any die-free cutting and creasing application, be it packaging, prototyping or POP/POS.

Thanks to the complementarity of our and Valiani’s product range, our resellers will be able to provide even more targeted advice to their customers. Moreover, by introducing Valiani to our valued network of resellers, we are building further on the strong relationship we already have.”
