Dior’s 2024 Christmas installation at ION Orchard Mall in Singapore was nothing short of magical. Instead of a traditional Christmas tree, the luxury fashion house unveiled a 15 meter tall twinkling mythical garden, which looked straight out of a fantasy book. Vision Display achieved this stunning creation through three weeks of nonstop production on Summa flatbed cutters and making sure that every detail was meticulously crafted.
This stunning display was both captivating by day and by night. It stood at an impressive 15 m tall, making the signature Dior star its striking centerpiece. The star is nestled among intricately crafted greenery and animals. It symbolized a blend of natural beauty and luxurious craftsmanship, mirroring Dior’s distinctive elegance.
The exquisitely crafted paper animals included a unicorn, two lions, a deer, a monkey, and birds. Each animal was meticulously designed to add depth to the storytelling aspect of the display. Each animal was also designed to represent one of the six senses. For example, the bird symbolized sight, the unicorn touch, and the monkey taste.
The scene paid homage to Scotland’s rich folklore and history, aligning with Dior’s 2024 collection, which was influenced by Scottish themes.
Bringing Dior’s vision into existence was no small feat. Vision Display, a specialist in high-quality display technology, relied on three Summa F1612 flatbed cutters. The production process was nothing short of a technical feat:
The final result was a breathtaking fusion of Dior’s heritage, artistic mastery, and cutting-edge technology. The Summa flatbed cutters played a pivotal role in achieving the exceptional craftsmanship that defined this Christmas installation. Not only did it captivate onlookers, but it also reinforced Dior’s reputation for innovation and storytelling through luxury design.
