Create perfect corners with Tangential cutting

Summa is renowned for its True Tangential Technology that excels on the S Class 2 vinyl cutters in particular. It is common to cut vinyl with a drag knife, that literally drags through the material. This technique works great for cutting designs such as for billboards, light boxes and window graphics.

However, depending on the thickness of the media, the pressure on the material can cause visible distortions in the corners. Therefore, Summa introduced the tangential knife, which is controlled by a motor, positioning the knife in the correct angle and lifting up the knife from the media when cutting corners. The S Class 2 vinyl cutters of the T Series will cut your vinyl to perfection.

Featuring motor controlled blade rotation and up to 600 grams of cutting force, Summa’s T Series combines the precision of a flatbed cutter with the ease and speed of a roll-fed cutter by using our legendary True Tangential cutting head.
