If you do not want to close objects upon import .... how do you do this?

Follow these steps

1. First right-click on the import file action button, under Action sets.  

 

2. A new window with the designated actions to this action set will appear. 

3. Delete the action you do not need. In this example, you choose 'Close objects' and click on the delete bottom.
