Summa launches V-Cut tool for F1612

Summa Press Release / For immediate release 01/01/2012

As from January 2012 a new tool is available for Summa's F Series flatbed cutter: the V-Cut tool.

This is basically a static knife placed under an angle in order to produce angled cuts. By cutting in two directions, V-grooves are cut out. The V-Cut tool is ideal for cutting thick materials: it can process a material thickness up to 18mm (45°). The tool is particularly well suited for honeycomb boards, soft foam boards, sandwich boards and corrugated cardboard. To make it possible to cut out different V shapes, the tool will be available with an angle of 45°, 30°, 22.5°, 15° or 0°. Both long life hard metal blades and budget friendly steel blades can be offered with this tool. The V-Cut is compatible with the F1612's existing installations and should be installed into the Tangential Module. The new tool has already been exhibited at the Viscom Italia show in the Fiera of Milan, where it has been welcomed with great enthusiasm of the Italian public. Form 21 to 24 February 2012, Summa will present the V-Cut tool at FESPA Barcelona.
